Latitude

While at latitude I was responsible for two main initiatives. Working closely with one of the development teams, I was able to significantly uplift the development practice which had a number of positive outcomes:

• Code reused rather than copy/pasted everywhere
• Reduction of technical debt, initially and ongoing
• Improvement of time to market for new features
• Greater collaboration across development teams

A key part of this process was having the developers make the improvements themselves. I provided guidance and direction, but the ultimate implementation was done across teams, meaning that the teams and developers became self-sufficent.
